NYC what a trip!

Hi there:
we went to New York City. We enjoyed walking all over Manhattan and visiting some of the NYC great treasures.
Boas:

View from the 102nd floor of the Empire State Building: any problems with "vertigo"?
Vista do 102o andar do Empire state Building: tem vertigens?
Certainly my son does not have that problem: look at him sticking his head through the fence! Afterwards he asked me if I had had an "heart attack"... (hum, funny)...

I guess he was looking for the Lego Store: the "highest" point of attraction in NYC (at least for him), right at the Rockefeller Center.

In the evening, they played with their new Lego sets at the windowsill of the Hotel room, with Times Square for foreground. What a great view: they were amazed that there were people on the street when they went to bed and when they woke up: always, always people around!
The city that never sleeps, so true!

We decided to see the Statue of Liberty from the ferry: the trip by ferry was an adventure and this way we skipped the "lines". There's Manhattan right behind us. The statue is on the left, but already too faraway to be noticed in the picture.

Ha!?!
She hurt her knee and went to cry on her brother's shoulder?!? Hey, mine is right here....
Han!?!

I am so proud of my children!
Then we went to the Museum of Natural History: amazing, so much to see, so much to experience and learn...

Heeeeeelp! He's gonna get me!
Socorrrrro! Ele vem atras de mim!

So many amazing animals!
Tantos animais incriveis!

This is the infra-red picture of my kids. My son put an ice cube on his forehead: it looked like he had a blue hole on his head.

The Bull of Wall Street (represents when stocks are good and wealthy).

Central Park is really nice: you can go for walks, bike rides, climb rocks, read a book... have a good relaxed time.

There were quite a few rowing boats at the lake.

And also a water park for the kids!

Walking down 5th Av: "Dad, why are you running away?"

ON Sunday, we had lunch at the Street Fair, down Brodway, over Times Square. Good food!
Comemos umas espetadas, nada mau!

And after going to see the "Lion King", it was "girls night out".

In front of the United Nations building: I wish all the Nations became really united, in respect, freedom and health.

Oh, The Big Apple: we loved it!

Summer!!

Hello!
Summer holidays started with my hubbie's surgery.
Ola!

It went very well and the kids brought cards and lots of love to daddy every day. After one week, he was fine and has taken the children to the pool.

Once he was completely recovered, it was time to start our real vacations: our first trip was (of course!) to visit our friends in Gainesville Florida, the hometown of my children and where we spent six wonderful years.

We loved every minute there!
Adoramos estar la!

We went to our friend's birthday pool party, in the evening! How cool is that? It was lots of fun.

My daughter was delighted petting the soft and friendly cat....
A minha filha "estava nas sete quintas" a fazer festas ao gato, tao macio...

...and had a big hug from her friend and (old) neighbor.

The boys had a lot to update in their ferocious and incredible feats since last time they were together, at the park (my son still calls it his park, as it is located behind our old house and we were there a lot...).

No fear, all together!
Sem medo, todos juntos!

And here is Robert and his little sister who I finally got to meet: they're precious!

And here is our curious, mischivious and absolutely adorable Luca!
Carmen, it was so great to see you again! Thank you for going with me finding our other friends. And I loved to be back at Minerva's Circle.

On our last day we visited my son's very good friend from school. They built quite a lot of Lego constructions and then they had a lot of fun jumping over the water "volcano".

We had to play on the asphalt because my son's skin reacts to the grass. Well, it didn't keep them from having fun.

Water ballons?!... no kidding, I am behind glass (eh eh eh!...).
Baloes de agua?!... eu sou o alvo??... (ah ah, fechei a porta de vidro).

Good friends are forever.
Bons amigos sao para sempre.

Back home, first think he did was to build his dinosaur: it didn't take him much time...
Isn't it awesome? Thank you my friends.
Obrigado meus amigos.

More Summer memories...

We had a great time, always in good company.
Tivemos umas ferias explendidas, sempre em boa companhia.
